Andrzej Ceglarz, Sybille Reitz, and Tina Schivatcheva, PhD candidates of the Chair of Environmental and Climate Policy, Prof. Dr. Miranda Schreurs, have successfully completed their short-term fellowships in Horizon 2020 energy research projects as a part of the SHAPE ENERGY program. Mr. Ceglarz and Mrs. Reitz spent two weeks at the Slovenian Transmission System Operator ELES in Ljubljana who is a consortium member of the BioEnergyTrain project. Mrs. Schivatcheva worked for two weeks in the EURECA project at the University of East London. Mr. Ceglarz and Mrs. Reitz accomplished a series of meetings regarding the EU’s energy policy and conducted numerous interviews, among others with the Technical University of Graz and the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators. The purpose of the interviews was to investigate the interdisciplinary aspects of energy research. Mrs. Schivatcheva explored the synergies between information technology and renewable energy. She also assisted and participated in the 14th EURECA workshop, which took place in the UK Westminster Parliament, House of Commons, and which was attended by industry and government representatives, such as UK Members of Parliament, senior policy makers from the European Parliament, UK, Ireland, Holland, Sweden, etc. More details about their experiences can be found here.
