Since February 2022, under the organizational leadership of the Professorship of Policy Analysis at TUM SOT/HFP, the EuroTeQ Collider has been taking place at TUM on the topic "Leave no waste behind".
We are very pleased to have three successful rounds with over 70 students from different programs each semester. In total, 45 challenges from industry, academia, or students themselves were given in the last three rounds. Groups of 4-6 Collider participants worked on each challenge over several weeks. At the end of the Collider, the solutions were first presented at TUM level. The best three teams were then invited to the EuroTeQaThon at the European level, where they competed in a European context with the winning teams from the six EuroTeQ universities of Paris, Eindhoven, Tallinn, Prague, Copenhagen, Munich. Our TUM teams were very successful at all levels!
In the first round of the EuroTeQ Collider, team Advan.ce won the EuroTeQaThon in summer 2022! In the third round of the EuroTeQ Collider, two of the TUM teams were able to win at the European level. Out of a total of three winners at the European level, TUM Team „The Himalayan Legos“ in the "Impact" category and Team „SoftAware“ in the "Ready to Launch" category were crowned winners of the EuroTeQaThon in Summer 2023! The winning teams each received prize money of 750 euros.
Where do we go from here?
The next EuroTeQ Collider will take place in the summer semester of 2024! The new theme will be announced soon, and we are very much looking forward to more exciting challenges, motivated challenge partners and enthusiastic students!
