An interdisciplinary perspective on the political and technological challenges of our time
Our Master of Science Politics & Technology combines innovative political science content with fundamental knowledge in science and technology.
Individually selected modules from the range of courses offered by the Technical University of Munich, a multidisciplinary and international study environment, and scientifically supported practical experience make our master's program unique in the international study landscape.
Interdisciplinary study at the interface of politics and technology
In order to make a difference or change things at the political level, it is important to understand the connections between politics and technology and to be familiar with emerging technologies of the future. Our international M.Sc. Politics & Technology offers an interdisciplinary study at the interface of politics and technology.
Innovative teaching formats enable a multidisciplinary view of societal transformation processes and focus on the interactions of technological progress and political challenges. A flexible range of elective modules from the entire catalog of the Technische Universität München also allows students to develop their own individual profile. Depending on their interests, students can focus on one of the fields "Data & Society", "Governance", "Political Economy" or "Sustainability" - or optionally gain a comprehensive insight into all areas.
In this way, we enable our students to analyze decision-making in the public and private sectors and to help shape social transformation processes - in accordance with ethical and democratic principles.
International, practice-oriented and family-like study environment
The Master's program at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy is characterized by a flexible range of modules and a family-like study environment. Future-oriented political science content is taught in English in small seminar groups. This content is individually supplemented from the comprehensive catalog of the Technical University of Munich. The student advisor is available to help students navigate through the program.
The integration of a practical phase in the form of a supervised practical project or a research internship ensures a high-level of practical orientation. The search for suitable practical partners is supported, for example, by an internal university internship exchange. Numerous international partnership programs facilitate a study-related stay abroad.
Practical insights, as well as the international environment, optimally prepare the students to be able to act politically on the national and international stage and to solve social challenges globally.
