Admission Requirements for the Bachelor´s in Political Science
Admission to the Bachelor's program at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy requires
- Higher Education Entrance Qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung, HZB)
- or a relevant professional qualification
as well as
- passing the aptitude test

The aptitude procedure is a two-stage selection process.
1st stage: HZB + subject-specific individual grades
Within the framework of the first stage, an evaluation is carried out from the criteria of
- Average grade of the HZB and
- subject-specific individual grades; the grades listed in the HZB in the subjects German, English, mathematics, a social science subject and a continued natural science or computer science acquired in the last four semesters before acquisition of the HZB are included here, if necessary including Abitur grades in these subjects listed in the HZB; these are added together and divided by the number of individual grades.
Those who score 80 points or more in the first stage are admitted. The remaining applicants will proceed to the second stage of the aptitude test.
2nd stage: HZB + Selection interview
As part of the second stage of the aptitude testing procedure, a selection interview takes place. The interview takes place as a group interview in English and German and is conducted by a selection committee. The date for the selection interview will be announced by the commission at least one week in advance.

The selection interviews are expected to take place in the first two weeks of August and at the beginning of September 2024.
The application period is May 15 to July 15. Outside this period, the application portal for the bachelor's degree program in political science is not activated.
