Information on the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG)

The Bundestag passed the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) with the approval of the Bundesrat on May 12, 2023.

The aim of the HinSchG is to protect natural persons who have obtained information about criminal offenses or misconduct in a professional context and report or disclose this to a legally designated reporting office from reprisals if the report is justified.

In order to fulfill the legal requirements, a reporting office was set up at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy in accordance with §12 HinSchG.

The reporting office's staff members have obtained a certificate of competence in accordance with § 15 HinSchG.

The anonymous reporting of a violation of the law or other misconduct is possible via this e-mail address:

meldestelle_hfp@protonmail.com .

Further information can be found on the website of the Federal Office of Justice:

An external reporting office is also operated here, which you can contact as an alternative.
