About the Program
The TUMexchange program includes study-related exchanges with selected partner universities outside the EU. The program does not include scholarships or monthly cost subsidies from TUM. However, tuition fees are waived (with a few exceptions). Stays at individual selected partner universities can be funded under certain circumstances within the framework of Erasmus+ International.
Partner Universities
You can find detailed information about partner universities for the TUMexchange program in our database.
Specify your search here by using the different filter options such as Program, Country, Institution, Subject Area, and Study Level. Please select SOT-Governance under Subject Area.
On the relevant university sites, you can also find some experience reports of fellow students, which may inspire your wish to go abroad even more. Happy browsing!

Recognition of academic achievements abroad:
Please contact Ms. Riembauer (international(at)gov.tum.de) before the start of your semester abroad and clarify in advance which courses can be recognized for your degree program. To do this, please send the module descriptions of all the courses that you would like to take during your semester abroad to Ms. Riembauer. You will then receive a Learning Agreement, which you must fill out and sign. The Learning Agreement contains the courses from your semester abroad that will be recognized for your degree program at HfP. The Learning Agreement also states the areas in which the courses will be recognized.
Please note that if you do not fill out the Learning Agreement in advance, not all courses from your semester abroad may be recognized.
Please note that you must receive a grade for each course at each partner university if you wish to have the courses recognized at the HfP. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to recognize courses that are only graded as "passed".
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Riembauer directly at international(at)gov.tum.de
