Research focus
Geoffrey Hubbard is a doctoral candidate in the School of Governance at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on societal resilience, addressing this area from technological, environmental, and political perspectives.
His doctoral project seeks to explain how populist governments across different countries impact environmental policy and real-world environmental performance, as well as to identify the mechanisms that drive these impacts.
Career
Geoffrey holds an M.Sc. in Politics and Technology from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and a BA in International Relations from Universidad Anahuac.
His work in academia has included, most recently, serving as director of the BA programme in International Strategic Management for the Anahuac-Coventry Universities partnership, as well as his position as adjunct lecturer teaching undergraduate courses at the intersection of technology and the social sciences. Beyond academia, Geoffrey has professional experience as a threat intelligence analyst and digitalisation consultant.
