PhD Title: National and Local Energy Policy: Tension around Energy Production and Distribution
Aviva Shemesh is a doctoral candidate in Political Science at the Technical University of Munich. She holds an undergraduate and graduate qualifications in Exact Sciences and Social Sciences from Israel as well as an MBA degree from France.
Throughout the last 6 years Aviva gained substantial professional experience in the field of climate and energy policy while working with government ministries, civil society organizations and consulting firms in Israel.
During the last two years Aviva is participating in an ERA-Net funded research project on energy and shared mobility services and has finalized a paper titled: Motivations and Barriers to Adopting Shared Vehicle Services in Multi-Dwelling Residential Buildings, which is currently under review by the Energy Research and Social Science journal.
Passionate about finding solutions to emerging barriers and social injustice that related to the energy transition, Aviva would like to explore in her research the nexus of local and national governance in the energy sector.
