This project, successfully acquired by Prof. Stefan Wurster, examines how farmers perceive and interact with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in agriculture—and how these perceptions influence adoption and governance expectations, with significant implications for global food security. A joint initiative by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the study compares farmers’ experiences in Israel, Germany, and the United States, representing diverse agricultural models from technology-driven innovators to sustainability-oriented family farms and large-scale efficiency producers. The findings aim to guide farmer-centered innovation and equitable AI governance, ensuring that technological advances support sustainable practices, resource efficiency, and resilient food systems worldwide.
