Resume
Malika is a postdoctoral researcher in the Transparency in Content Moderation project. She earned her PhD in Political Science, with Specialization in Computational Social Science, at UC San Diego. Her current work focuses on how users develop and employ gaming strategies to evade content moderation on social media. In addition, she studies information management and authoritarian politics in the Eurasian region.

Malika is interested in supervising theses in the following topics:
- Information management — the strategies leaders use to shape information environments.
- Authoritarian politics and governance — how nondemocratic regimes maintain power.
- Media and politics — the role of media in political communication.
- Gaming in content moderation — how users adapt and resist platform rules, and what this reveals about control, evasion, and enforcement.
- ML/NLP in social sciences — the use of machine learning/natural language processing methods to analyze political texts, media coverage, and online communication
