In the context of the French Presidency of the European Union, the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (cooperation between the Technical University of Munich and the Institut Mines-Télécom - IMT) is organizing a German-French conference entitled :

"Smart World! Smart Europe?” – How to advance European digital sovereignty?

This event will take place on 11 and 12 May 2022 in Munich (Germany) and will deal with digital sovereignty in its various aspects in terms of industrial policy, innovation and democratic issues.

In this context, we cordially invite groups of 2 to 4 interested master students, PhD students or young professionals to send us their ideas in the form of a motivational video (max. 3 minutes, in English) as well as a short essay (max 400 words, in English) answering one of the three questions below:

  • What policy strategies could help us achieve the goals of digital sovereignty and participation in Europe?
  • Which relevant services and technological solutions could help us achieve European digital sovereignty?
  • What initiatives could strengthen innovation and the digital transition of European industry in order to achieve digital sovereignty?

The selected groups will then be invited to pitch their ideas to an expert audience at the conference.

More information is available in the attached call for papers and on the event website: https://www.future-industry.org/events/call4ideas-digital-sovereignty/
