Forschungsgebiete
Prof. Steinert (*1989) forscht in den Bereichen der globalen Gesundheit und Entwicklungsökonomie. Schwerpunkte sind hierbei die Wechselwirkung zwischen Krankheit und Armut, Prävention von häuslicher Gewalt und HIV/AIDS sowie ethische Herausforderungen in der Entwicklungsforschung. In bisherigen Projekten führte Prof. Steinert unter anderem randomisierte kontrollierte Feldstudien in Ländern des globalen Südens, verhaltensökonomische Experimente sowie Systematic Reviews und Meta-Analysen durch.
Wissenschaftliche Laufbahn
Nach dem Bachelorstudium in Politikwissenschaften an der Universität Konstanz und der Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne erfolgten das Masterstudium und die Promotion an der University of Oxford. Im Anschluss war Prof. Steinert am Lehrstuhl für Entwicklungsökonomie an der Universität Göttingen als Postdoc tätig, bis sie 2020 auf die Professur „Global Health“ an die TUM School of Governance berufen wurde.
