Call for Papers - Bavarian PhD Workshop in Development Economics
The workshop brings together PhD students located in Bavaria with an interest in Development Economics and neighboring fields to discuss their ongoing work. It provides an opportunity to connect with other early-career and senior researchers in the region working on topics related to Development Economics.
We are very happy that Prof. Dr. Michael Grimm (University of Passau) will give the keynote lecture.
The workshop will be jointly hosted by the FAU and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). It will take place at the FAU Erlangen Campus, on July 10-11 2025 (starting Thursday midday and ending on Friday afternoon). Meals and drinks during the workshop as well as a dinner on Thursday evening will be covered for all participants. In special cases, participants may be reimbursed for travel expenses.
Please submit your work in the form of a full paper draft, an extended abstract, or an advanced research proposal by May 4th, 2025, via email to henrike.sternberg(at)tum.de. Depending on the type of submissions, we may implement a presenter-discussant-scheme.
We also warmly encourage participating without presenting one’s own research.
We look forward to receiving your submissions!
