Luca Scotellaro (M.Sc. Politics and Technology, 2021) was awarded the Hochschulpreis des Referats für Arbeit und Wirtschaft by the City of Munich for his thesis on public participation in the urban mobility transition. His thesis titled "Westend-Kiez: The Co-Creation of an Urban Living Lab - A Case Study of Sustainable Urban Mobility Transition Through Participation in Munich," analyzed efforts to build a more sustainable neighborhood by implementing urban mobility and spatial planning measures. His research emphasized the crucial role of citizen and stakeholder acceptance in sustainability transitions. He was honored with a congratulatory speech at the award ceremony on June 27th held at the Munich Urban Colab of MVG by his thesis advisor, Dr. Theresa Jedd.
