Morteza Shahrezaye

I have done my bachelor studies in economics and statistics at Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. Afterwards I moved to Siegen, Germany, to do my masters in economics. During my university studies I was always interested to scientific programming. Therefore, I learned programming mathematical and statistical models in different programming platforms. This later helped me to start working at DDDUCTR as a machine learning developer. During my work period at DDDUCTR I contributed to a software which later got patented in USA (link).

March 2016 I moved to Munich to start my PhD as a computer scientist at TUM. Besides doing research in social media analysis and big data, I did research on network analysis and its applications in social sciences. I also teach statistics in bachelors and masters levels to political science and engineering students.

In December 2019 I finished my PhD and started my post-doc at University of St. Gallen under supervision of Prof. Dr. Miriam Meckel. To check my current research work have a look at my personal page.
