TUM honours Prof. Stefan Wurster for Excellence in Teaching

For his outstanding commitment to teaching, the Technical University of Munich honoured HfP Professor Stefan Wurster with the TUM Certificate of Excellence in Teaching. The certificate, which regularly honors exceptional lecturers, was presented during the TUM Teaching Symposium by the Vice President of TUM, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Müller.

Creating a positive learning environment, addressing the specific needs of learners, and infecting students with enthusiasm – Prof. Stefan Wurster inspires his students through his teaching. For this, he has now been honoured the TUM Certificate of Excellence in Teaching. At the award ceremony during the TUM Symposium on Teaching, Wurster received the accolade from the Vice President of TUM, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Müller, who congratulated him. Prof. Wurster's courses combine innovative teaching strategies, comprehensive supervision, and high quality. Additionally, Prof. Wurster's courses tackle today's societal challenge such as sustainability, smart cities, and digitization.

Recently, he received funding of around 1.3 million euros for his new Urban-Digitainability Lab at the TUM Think Tank of HfP Munich. Working at HfP since 2016, Prof. Wurster heads the Professorship of Policy Analysis and is a leading researcher in the field of policy analysis in sustainability-related policy areas. His current research focuses include examining governance structures, sustainable regulation of energy markets, policy comparisons in innovation and research policy, environmental policy, and in relation to new technologies such as artificial intelligence and biotechnology.
