The Bavarian Ministry of Science is funding a new research network in the humanities and social sciences on the topic of the "Future of Democracy" (ForDemocracy). The Free State will provide around 3.4 million euros in funding over the next four years. Prof. Dr. Lisa Herzog and her Ph.D. student Alexander Krüger are involved in the project "Deliberative democracy in the workplace: the potential of mini publics"". In an innovative combination of philosophical and empirical methods, they examine the potential for democratic participation in the workplace arising from digital technologies and current changes in the working world.
