News |

The Chair for International Relations, with the generous support of the Dean of the School of Governance, has put together a new course to address the politics and public policy of the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic head-on:

ANALYZING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC IN REAL TIME:
An Introduction to Evidenced-Based Global Public Policy

To apply, please send an email to luca.messerschmidt@hfp.tum.de  *and*  ir-chair@hfp.tum.de.  In your email, please note your name, the degree program in which you are enrolled, and your year/semester in that program.  Then, in less than 200 words, explain your reasons for wanting to take this course.  Please include *one* specific, policy-relevant question you would like to try to answer through an analysis of the CoronaNet data (in conjunction with other data, as warranted; the suggested analysis should in principle be feasible within the timeframe of the course, but you will not be required to actually carry out the proposed analysis).  In addition, please note your previous training in data analysis and/or statistics. (An initial announcement was sent out about this on Thu afternoon but didn't yet specify the course meeting times; therefore:) All applications received by the end of the day on Thursday, 7 May 2020 will be given full consideration.

A course description is now available in TUM Online.
