From 1 to 22 July 1944, 44 states laid down rules for the world economy in Bretton Woods. Prof. Eugénia da Conceição-Heldt, Reform Rector of the Hochschule für Politik München at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), is editor of a special issue on the occasion of the anniversary. Her conclusion: While China's power ambitions do not jeopardize the achievements of Bretton Woods, increasing populism could certainly have an impact.
