The Conference, from 11.-12.10.2022 in Bishkek, Kyryzstan), is an annual gathering promoting research, exchange, and Evidence Based Policy Making in Central Asia and is partnered with the American University of Central Asia (AUCA), the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF), the Mercy Corps organisation for humanitarian aid, the World Bank, and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
It brings together scholars, practitioners, and policy makers to present evidence-based studies on topics ranging from the labour market, to agriculture, to macroeconomic performance, to poverty, to biodiversity conservation, to civil society, to health, gender, climate change, and others. Many of the studies are based on the "Life in Kyryzstan" study, an open access household and longitudinal survey capturing data on the lives and livelihoods of and in Kyryzstan since 2010. In its range and depth it is unique in Central Asia as Christopher J Gerry, Dean of the Graduate School of Development at UCA, describes it.
You can find more information, the conference program, and a welcoming note on the conference website.
