Resumé
Anushree is part of the ECOVI project at the Technical University of Munich, which focuses on understanding and preventing economic violence against women in India. She joined the project in November 2024.
Her academic journey started with a Master's in Applied Psychology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, in 2016. Since then, she has worked as a practicing psychologist for eight years, with a focus on supporting individuals and communities affected by gender-based violence, trauma, and mental health challenges. Over the years, she has worked closely with survivors of trafficking, child abuse, and domestic violence, as well as providing trauma care for healthcare workers in Uganda.
In 2024, she completed a second Master's in Public Policy at the University of Erfurt, combining her interest in mental health with broader systemic approaches. Her work often blends psychological practice with community and policy-level interventions, aiming to create spaces for long-term resilience and well-being.
Her main areas of interest include gender-based violence, trauma, mental health, and community-focused interventions. She approaches her work with a systemic perspective, exploring ways to strengthen community resilience and address mental health challenges at both individual and structural levels.
As both a therapist and researcher, Anushree enjoys working collaboratively with others to develop thoughtful, practical solutions to complex social issues. She is especially passionate about using research and practice to support communities in achieving better mental health outcomes.
