She first took part in the Early Career Researchers’ Day, presenting an ongoing project and engaging in constructive exchange with peers. In the main programme, she presented joint work on Technology-Facilitated Violence and Political Participation: The Dynamics of Online Harassment in Brazil (with Macarena María Sfeir Sfeir, Angelina Voggenreiter, Thayna Yaredy, and Janina Steinert), as well as findings from the recently published paper Online Misogyny Against Female Candidates in the 2022 Brazilian Elections: A Threat to Women’s Political Representation? (with Raji Ghawi, Jürgen Pfeffer, and Janina Steinert).
Taken together, these contributions addressed the prevalence of technology-facilitated violence and its implications for gendered harm and political participation. The ENGV conference provided an important platform for international exchange and highlighted the need for continued collaborative efforts to address gender-based violence.
