Alexandra Maria Bruncrona
Doctoral Researcher at the Algorithmic Governance and Public Policy Group

Alexandra Bruncrona conducts research on narratives, specialising in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for interdisciplinary research. In her work, Alexandra applies critical futures studies methods to study energy transitions. Alexandra’s research interests cover a wide range of topics, investigating the power of language use now, in the past, and in the future.
Currently, Alexandra works as a research associate at the Professorship for Algorithmic Governance and Public Policy at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy at TUM.
Before pursuing a doctorate degree, Alexandra worked as a policy and market expert in the renewable energy field. Alexandra has a BSc (Tech.) in Environmental and Energy Engineering and an MSc (Tech.) in Advanced Energy Solutions from Aalto University, Finland, as well as a BA in Linguistics – minoring in History and Digital Humanities – from the University of Helsinki, Finland, and a PGCert in Narrative Futures from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
Klaus Kloiber
Doctoral Researcher at the Algorithmic Governance and Public Policy Group

Klaus Kloiber works as a research associate at the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology, contributing to the ERC-funded project Algorithmic Governance - A Public Perspective (AGAPP). He is interested in the implications of algorithmic governance in the European Union, foreign and security policy, international organisations, and International Relations theory.
Klaus holds a double Master's degree in Governance in Multi-Level Systems (International Relations/Political Science) from Andrássy University Budapest and the University of Passau, where he also completed his BA in Journalism and Strategic Communication with a minor in Political Science.
Before joining academia, Klaus gained experience in journalism and public sector communication. He completed a scholarship at the Journalism Institute of Mediengruppe Bayern, where he worked at Süddeutsche Zeitung, Passauer Neue Presse, and Bayerischer Rundfunk. Most recently, he served as a press officer at the Bavarian State Office for Monument Protection, which is subordinate to the State Ministry of Science and the Arts.
Nergüzel Aleyna Yavuzer
Doctoral Researcher at the Algorithmic Governance and Public Policy Group

Nergüzel Aleyna Yavuzer is interested in how digitalization, governance, and social structures shape political and social behavior. Her research focuses on sociology, governance, migration, and emerging technologies, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches in interdisciplinary research.
She grew up in İzmir, Turkey, where she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Yaşar University. During her studies, she also spent time in Potsdam, Germany, as part of the Erasmus+ programme, studying Politics and Economics at the University of Potsdam. For her Master’s, she moved to Mannheim to study Sociology at the University of Mannheim, from which she graduated with a Master’s degree.
Before joining the Algorithmic Governance and Public Policy Group at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), she worked as a Research Assistant at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) and at the Chair of Economic and Organizational Sociology at the University of Mannheim. At present, she is conducting her PhD at the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology.
Vaibhav Agarwal
Doctoral Researcher at the Algorithmic Governance and Public Policy Group

Vaibhav Agarwal is interested in how algorithmic governance and digitalisation shape public trust, with a particular focus on the heuristics people use when making decisions. His research also explores methods and data suited to uncovering these patterns, especially conjoint experiments. Beyond this, Vaibhav experiments with multimodal approaches that bring together text, audio, image, and video. He presents his research in accessible and creative formats, ranging from presentations and articles to videos and posters.
He grew up in Bangalore, a city in Southern India, where he pursued his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Data, Democracy, and Development from Azim Premji University. For his master’s he travelled to Helsinki to study Social Data Science and graduated with a Master’s in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki. At present, He is starting his PhD at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy at the Technical University of Munich, in Germany.
