Real World Datasets + Support & Fun Discussions

Conflict between people or groups is a natural part of parliamentary debates – but to what extent are parliamentary members in conflict and how are these conflicts articulated as natural language? For this challenge theme, participants will use natural language processing to analyse parliamentary language in a European parliament of their choice, to uncover situations of disagreement, scepticism, or argument. If you are a puzzle solver, a language enthusiast, or interested in political processes, this challenge theme is for you.

Everyone seems to be talking about AI. For this challenge theme, participants will compare social media platforms within areas of their choice to understand who is talking about AI and how this conversation has changed over time. Exploring multimodal data, this challenge offers curious and ambitious participants an opportunity to explore diverse approaches such as computer vision methods, facial expression recognition, or speech-to-text.
