Economic Interdependence and Peace & Security in Europe

Project Overview

Several ongoing and new projects examine changing threat perceptions and their implications for peace and security in Europe (and Asia in a joint project with Grieco, Reifler and Tago), as well as the relationship between economic interdependence and peace/conflict, which Tim Büthe examines historically in Europe and Cindy Cheng and Shahryar Minhas explore for recent decades, using multilinear tensor regression analysis to account for problems of endogeneity, reciprocity, and transitivity, which scholars of trade and conflict in international relations have long struggled to address.
