Fabiola completed her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Management at the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg with a semester abroad at the Saint Petersburg State University in Russia and internships in Argentina and Peru. The interest in cyber security grew during her student work experience at KPMG in IT security consulting. During her M.Sc. Her current research deals with the causes and effects of state-induced internet shutdowns and the role of digital infrastructure in so-called "Digital Authoriatrianism". In doing so, she mainly applies quantitative and computational (ML) methods.
