Carolin Schuster is a PhD candidate, researching the climate change discourse in the online sphere. She has an interdisciplinary background, having studied and worked in a variety of fields including data science, marketing and sustainability. While completing her master studies at TUM, she got hooked on machine learning and the idea to employ it in the research of social and political phenomena. After a year of working as a data scientist in the telecommunications industry, she now is back at TUM to follow up on this idea. She is receiving a PhD scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
