Master´s Thesis Title: Stakeholders participation in UNESCO’s insular Man and Biosphere Reserves: Príncipe Island case study
Fernanda is a master's candidate in Sustainable Resource Management at the TUM in the Study Program Division “Forest Science and Resource Management”. The goal of her thesis is to identify how different stakeholders contribute to the success of projects developed within the Príncipe Biosphere Reserve, in the African archipelago of São Tomé and Príncipe.
The Man and the Biosphere Reserve Program (MAB) is a UNESCO multidisciplinary initiative that focuses on biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, aiming to help United Nations member states reach the Sustainable Development Goals.
Fernanda holds a bachelor's degree in Communications/Public Relations and a specialization degree in Environmental Education. She was manager of an educational program for youngsters from low income communities in Brazil. Fernanda is particularly interested in the interplay between social and environmental aspects of sustainability.
