Gloria Amoruso, PhD Candidate at the Chair of the Environmental and Climate Policy at TUM and founder of the NGO kein Abseits! e.V., met President Barack Obama in April 2019 in Berlin. She got invited by the Obama Foundation among other „ 300 emerging leaders across Europe“ to attend the Obama Town Hall Europe. During his inspiring speech and the following Q&A-session the former president talked about several global challenges. He defined climate change as one of the biggest problems the world is facing nowadays. Furthermore, Obama explained that the support and inspiration of young leaders is his best investment to make in the next years, because they have to bring the change and actively transform their own future.
