Academic Career and Research Areas
Viktoria Kropp joined the Professorship of Political Economy as a doctoral researcher in 2026. Her research examines the political economy of technological change, with a particular focus on the geopolitical implications of quantum technologies. Her broader research interests include global supply chains and critical raw materials markets. She holds a B.A. in International Relations & Management from OTH Regensburg and an M.A. in International Political Economy from King's College London.
Before joining TUM, she worked as a research associate and project manager at the Chair of International and Strategic Management at OTH Regensburg, where her work centred on social innovation and innovation management. Beyond her academic work, she contributes to lifelong learning initiatives and the communication of research across generations at the Center for Senior Studies at LMU Munich.
