War and Peace in Ukraine from the Perspective of International Relations as Political Science

Event |

Since February 2022, a war has been raging in Europe that is no further away from Munich than Ireland or Spain. In this talk, Tim Büthe explores the question of what we can learn about war and peace from the perspective of International Relations (IR) as a sub-discipline of political science in order to better understand the conflict in Ukraine. How do wars arise and what are their underlying causes? And how can options for action be developed to avoid military escalation of conflicts or, if necessary, to restore peace?

We cordially invite you to attend the lecture and subsequent discussion: "War and Peace in Ukraine from the Perspective of International Relations as Political Science".
