Political science with a technological understanding
The B.Sc. Political Science at the Munich School of Public Policy combines classical political science education with a flexible range of courses in technical and scientific content.
As a Bachelor of Science, it integrates technical fundamentals and political issues related to current societal challenges for a comprehensive, interdisciplinary understanding of socio-politically and technologically relevant fields such as energy policy or digitalization.
An extensive range of elective modules from the entire catalogue of the Technical University of Munich leads to the development of an individual profile. Depending on your interests, this flexibility allows you to focus on specific topics or to gain a comprehensive insight into diverse areas. A scientifically accompanied, practical project as part of the curriculum enables insights into national and international institutions and companies. The high proportion of elective modules also makes it easier for students to spend part of their studies abroad.
Basis for diverse career opportunities
Political scientists work, among other things, in advising political decision-makers in the media industry, in the strategy and PR departments of companies, in market and opinion research, in public administration, in the field of political education, and in political science research.
Other potential employers include political parties, party-affiliated foundations, associations, and trade unions, as well as governmental and non-governmental actors in development cooperation and international organizations such as NGOs with a socio-political and technological orientation.

Admission to the Bachelor´s program requires:
- Higher Education Entrance Qualification (HZB)
- or a relevant professional qualification
- Passing of the aptitude test
