The Professorship of Global Health at the Munich School of Politics and Public Policy (HfP/TUM) has opened the photo exhibition Work · Dreams · Resilience, a photographic journey by Rucha Vasumati Satish that takes visitors to the women of the Indian states Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh, who — driven by strength, resilience, and hope — resist entrenched power structures. The exhibition is rooted in research findings from the ECOVI project (Disentangling and Preventing Economic Violence against Women) and is funded by the European Research Council. Through intimate portraits and individual stories, Rucha Vasumati Satish documents women caught between responsibility for their own households, the agricultural sector, an entire rural economy, and deeply rooted patriarchal power structures.

The exhibition is on display at Richard-Wagner-Straße 1, Munich, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., running through 30 June 2026. Admission is free and open to the public — all are welcome to visit and experience this powerful tribute to the unseen labour and resilience of rural women in India.
