Intelligent Tools: Beyond Hope and Despair on January 31th

Prof. Dr. John Zysman, University of California Berkeley, examines the consequences of the digital transformation and especially the introduction of artificial intelligence for the nature of work, economic processes, and society at large in advanced industrialized (high-skill-focused) countries. Based a review of existing research and current attempts by governments to understand and "govern" these changes, he will sketch a research agenda for the most important questions facing countries such as Germany with a high-skills-focused economy.

The event is open to the university public.
