On 18.11.2022, the event: "The role of science in the search for a final repository" will take place.
With a joint event of the National Citizens’ Oversight Committee and the Chair of Environment and Climate Policy of the School of Politics at the Technical University of Munich, the role of science will be examined more closely. Questions to be discussed include: How independent is science in this field? How independent can it be? How does scientific knowledge come about? How can scientific knowledge be communicated to the public? What happens when scientific statements come into conflict with social opinions?
