At the end of May 2024, a presence meeting of the Power2U project consortium took place at the Hochschule für Politik (HfP) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). At the meeting, the research results of previous scientific studies were discussed and the research objectives for the final project phase were defined. One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the role of targeted information for households that are at different stages in the decision-making process regarding investments in the areas of electromobility and renewable heat supply.
In addition, online cost calculators that were revised as part of the project were presented and further steps were agreed. The calculation tools from AEE (“Wärmekompass” / heat compass) and the Öko-Institut (electric vehicle cost calculator) are now online and can be used to evaluate the purchase of a new car or heating system in economic terms and with regard to CO2 emissions.
