TUM goes COP

The TUM is registered as an observer organisations with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which allows it to send students to the annual international climate conferences called COP. In 2021, TUM sent a student delegation to COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland, as part of a class called "International and National Dimensions of Climate Strategies in the Context of UNFCCC" offered by Prof. Annette Menzel, Dr. Florentine Koppenborg and Prof. Miranda Schreurs

Participating students wrote about their experience and diverse impressions in the "TUM goes COP"- blog (in English). Funded by the Foundation for Energy and Climate Mitigation (Stiftung Energie und Klimaschutz), participating student received funding for their COP26 reports (in German) for the foundations' young energy reporter program
